Here are some release dates for all you overseas fans: Netherlands: Wicca 9: Conflict (April 2005) Wicca 10: De zoeker (April 2005) Italy: Dark Magic 2: Stirpe di strega (March 2005) "Stirpe di strega" roughly translates to “Progeny of Witches”. Stirpe could also mean “parentage, breed…” ah, you get the point. Yes, "Conflict" is the right name, and "De Zoeker" probably means "Seeker", since "zoeken" means to seek or to look out for in Dutch. (Hey, I'm trying here.) ^_^

Not really news, but from now on when I mention any news about Balefire, it will be for the release of US/Canada only! You all have to remember that Cate and her publishes are from the USA, and that's where they are publishing. Maybe in the future some publishing company will buy the rights to Balefire (just like they did with Sweep), but that this point, it's all USA. If Balefire does get released in other countries, I will SPECIFY, like I always do.

Just a quick update: thanks to those who work in bookstores, I have a release date: August 18, 2005. However, Amazon.com (which just put up pages for the first 3 Balefire books) says book 1 will be released September 8, 2005. Anyway...it's around THAT time. Close enough. Here are other other publication dates (acording to Amazon.com) Book #1 - September 8, 2005 (August 18, 2005?) Book #2 - September 8, 2005 (released at the same time???) Book #3 - December 1, 2005 The dates are most likely subject to CHANGE, so use these dates as estimates.

I should start the new year off with an update. I'm not sure if Balefire will be quartet or what (the good questions never cross my mind), but the first four (or just four) books will be titled:
- A Chalice of Wind
- A Circle of Ashes
- A Feather of Stone
- A Necklace of Water
I think that's right. The book might be out Summer 2005, but Cate Tiernan isn't sure. So...probably a nice bookstore will have that answer in the upcoming months.

For those that haven't already scrambled on the Internet to look at the cover, what is on your bottom-left is the picture of what the first cover looks like. I should apologize for telling everybody so late, like months late, but I won't. It's been easily accessible on any search engine.
As said, the next book will be out March 2005. Also, I've broken my piggy bank to purchase some UK Wicca books. I'm trying to figure out why I did it and for what purpose. I could say it's because of the covers, but really, fancy covers is bottom on the "why I want list". I still don't know why. Oh well! I will probably buy two more books, and then I will decide if I want the whole set. The total I'm going to pay for the 15 book import is enormous. I will eventually scan pictures of the back covers because it's worth looking at (a continuation of front cover). Unless some good souls scan good scans for me, it will probably take a year or so to complete in the gallery. I could also do the back covers of the US ones, but I never thought they were worth looking at. Really, Really. The comment box will return within a day or so (if I can get it working again--ha), so stay tuned.
