Cate Tiernan's official site is now up (okay, it WAS up). Also, Immortal Beloved her new trilogy (or is it series now?--whatever) has found a published at Little Brown; congratulations Cate!
I have updated the release dates for the foreign Sweep editions. The French cover for book 7 has strayed away from the Italian cover (they used to be the same). Oddly, the French cover uses the original cover for the Italian edition of one of Margaret Mahy's books (forgot the exact title).

I haven't posted anything because there really wasn't any news to post (besides the Sweep reprints, but I don't consider that major news), but I have a few things to say now.
The first thing I will talk is about Cate Tiernan's new possible project. I say "possible" because nothing has been signed nor has a publisher has been found. In film terms, let's say it's in pre-production.
Tiernan plans to write (or is writing) a trilogy she calls Immortal Beloved. Her agent is now shopping the proposal around for a publisher. I don't know how much I can say, but it does deal with immortality, magic, and redemption. It's not Sweep and it's not Balefire. I don't want to say anymore because things could change drastically.
Cate Tiernan has a new email address. Check the contact page. I'm bad; I've had it up for about 3 weeks without an announcement. Bad me. 
(On the contact page I mention that Cate Tiernan has her own website. Yeah, that's true, but it's not up. She doesn't know when it will be up.)
The Book Covery Gallery for Sweep has been updated. Guess what I found? Covers from Russia/Ukraine! Heh, heh. They were supposedly published in 2004. But hey...Cate Tiernan's name was translated into their language, sort of impossible for me to know. Plus, nobody told me. Oh well!
I think I have more to say, but I forgot.

Here is an article from Publisher's Weekly that talks about the Sweep reissues. It basically says what I (and the rest) already guessed. But above all the books are still in print, and that's all that matters, right? I just hope that Balefire will be reissued or something soon; hate to see that series go out-of-print.
(And why is my scan (the original BOS cover) on their site? I mean, really.)

Penguin Putnam is reissuing the Sweep books with new covers. If you want to look at them, check out the US publisher's site here. The date is set for March 1, 2007 March 22, 2007 (for books 1-6, I guess). I really don't know if it's any different from the first edition, besides the outrageous price: $6.99 compared to $4.99 when the first books were published. Buy if you must.... 
There won't be any new Cate Tiernan books out for 2007. Sorry. Professionally and personally Tiernan has no time. She is working on non-Tiernan related projects, and she's getting married this spring.
