I'm a little happy camper thanks to the three people who sent me some pictures of Cate Tiernan at the Elf Fantasy Fair 2006. Last time I didn't get any--:hmm:--but this year is a little different. So a big thank you goes out to Teresa, Anne, and Nicky.

Anyway, go here if you want to see pictures of Cate Tienan giving her speech and signing books and stuff.

Until next time!

A Necklace of Water should be hitting many shelves at this time.

Read it and savor the ill surprises--like I did.

Lastly, a thank you goes to Veerle, a fan for Holland, for indirectly reminding me about this year’s Elf Fantasy Fair dates. I almost forgot (but I did mention it earlier!).

April 21 and 22 2006 is this year’s Elf Fantasy Fair (located in the Netherlands). Cate Tiernan will be speaking there (her second time).

Hopefully, somebody will grace me with some pics! :D

For those that are interested, the index Balefire page (link fixed) has a concise one-sentence summary for book 4 (scroll down). Warning: it has one whopper of a spoiler (or spoilers?), but it will give you some better insight about the last Balefire book.

Hi, my dear Cate-sters. It’s sad that haven’t yip-yapped in a long time—and even sadder that I have to start it off with “bad news”.

Balefire will end at book 4. I had a brief conversation with Tiernan in late January (I know, I suck), and she says “it’s over”. She doesn’t think Balefire will continue. Don’t expect anything by Cate Tiernan until much later in the year (a probable thought, folks).

Ah, another thing: for those who live in the Netherlands, Cate Tiernan will speak at the Elf Fantasy Faire this year. She did it about 3 years ago (if anybody remembers), and she is doing again.

As for this site, I actually updated. If you are interested in that sort of thing, the best place to go is the site map. All updates and new content have been labeled. Balefire stuff is way at the bottom.

That’s all I have to say. Until next time.

Thanks goes to Amy Muller from the Netherlands for sending me a nifty scan from a Dutch fantasy & science fiction magazine called Warp . It features some Balefire news! The first two Balefire books will be released around Summer 2006 in the Netherlands (translated in Dutch, of course).

I did some hunting, and I DID find colored photos of both the first and second book, but it's so small. :hmm: I will try to search for some bigger scans.

Anyway, thanks again, Amy!
