Prologue
Excerpt from Book of Shadows. During the Samhain celebration Morgan Rowlands makes magick. Cal Blaire tells Morgan she is a true blood witch. He kisses her infront of the whole Circle.
Chapter One: After Samhain
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan wakes up thinking about her last night's revelations. Downstairs her parents confront her about the Wiccan books outside their door step. Morgan realizes that her former best friend, Bree Warren, set her up. Morgan confronts her parents, saying if she is witch, then they are too.
Chapter Two: Different
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Her parents deny that they are a witches. Morgan's sister, Mary Kathleen (Mary K.), thinks Morgan is going crazy. Morgan goes to the family's office to look at her birth certificate. She finds that she is adopted; her real mother's name is Maeve Roirdan.
Chapter Three: Find Me
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan storms out of the house and takes off in her car. Morgan is hysterical and summons Cal via mind to come to her. He comes and comforts her.
Chapter Four: Maeve
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan returns home to find her parents and sister gone. She looks through the house for information about her past but finds nothing. Morgan uses the Internet and the local library to find little more information about her birth parents.
Chapter Five: Reasons
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan's parents and sister come back home. Morgan is distant with them. Mary K. wants everything back to normal, and Morgan says things will probably never be the same again. Morgan goes to school. Bree Warren and Raven Meltzer show hatred towards her.
Chapter Six: Searching
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan tells Cal about her search for Maeve Roirdan. Morgan and Robbie Gurevitch drive to Practical Magick. Morgan talks to the store clerks David and Alyce. Morgan asks Alyce if she knows anything about Maeve Roirdan, and Alyce says yes.
Chapter Seven: Burned
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Alyce tells Morgan what she knows about Maeve, the Belwicket coven, and the Dark Wave that wiped out Maeve's entire town. Alyce also states that Maeve's Book of Shadows is out there somewhere. Mogan demands to know where it is. Alyce says she doesn't know where.
Chapter Eight: Anger
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan and Robbie leave Practical Magick. Morgan returns home to find her Aunt Eileen and her aunt's girlfriend, Paula Steen, there. Morgan asks why Aunt Eileen never told her about her being adopted, and everybody is shocked by Morgan's outburst. Morgan quickly leaves in her car.
Chapter Nine: Healing Light
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan goes to Cal's house to find Selene Belltower there. Morgan confides to Selene about her real mother. Selene and Morgan make a Circle of Two that makes Morgan feel better. Morgan then leaves.
Chapter Ten: Split
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan comes home to talk to find her sister up and they talk. Morgan finds that there is a growing gap between Mary K. and herself. The next day Morgan meets up with the Circle (now called Cirrus). Beth Neilson announces that she doesn't want to be in the Circle anymore. Moments later Bree and Raven announce they are also departing from Circle Cirrus. Bree and Raven state that they have found another coven to join and say no more.
Chapter Eleven: Connected
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan goes online to find more information about her biological mother. When she doesn't find any, she confronts her mother about her adoption. Her mother says she will tell her everything soon. Morgan goes to Cal's house. She tells him her feelings about her adoption. Cal mentions they might be Muìrn Beatha Dàn.
Chapter Twelve: Beauty Out
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). There is uneasiness in the Rowlands household. Morgan asks her parents why they are not telling her the truth. They don't answer her. Morgan goes to a Circle Cirrus meeting at Matt Alder's house. Morgan finds out her "beauty" potion for Robbie has more lasting effects than any of them anticipated.
Chapter Thirteen: Starlight
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Cal asks if anybody has a problem they want help with, and Jenna Ruiz's replies her asthma is giving her problems. The Circle starts and Morgan makes magick. She gives some of the magick to Jenna, and Jenna's asthma clears up temporary.
Chapter Fourteen: Lesson
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Morgan and family go to church. Morgan reveals about her adoption during confession with Father Hotchkiss. A few days later, Morgan witnesses Bakkar trying to attack Mary K. Morgan releases witch fire on Bakker. He quickly leaves.
Chapter Fifteen: Who I Am
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Morgan's parents finally tell her the truth about her past (or what they know). Mrs. Rowlands wants Morgan to leave witchcraft alone, but Morgan says she can't.
Chapter Sixteen: Hostile
(Diary Entry: M. R.). In Gym class Morgan over hears two girls talking about how hot Robbie is. Bree purposely throws a ball in Morgan's face. The incident breaks Morgan's nose.
Chapter Seventeen: The New Coven
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Cal comes to visit Morgan and they talk. Morgan goes out the next day and follows Bree to a secluded section outside of town. Morgan eavesdrops on a meeting between Bree, Raven, and a beautiful blonde. Morgan figures they might be plotting against her.
Chapter Eighteen: Desire
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Morgan tells Cal about what she saw and heard during her eavesdropping on Bree and Raven. Soon Raven and Bree show up. Bree flirts with a guy named Seth Moore, but Robbie tells Seth to take a hike.
Chapter Nineteen: Sky and Hunter
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Morgan goes to Cal's house. She and Cal are greeted by two strangers--Sky Eventide and Hunter Niall. Cal is tense while Morgan feels pure hatred towards these two strangers. As Cal attends to his mother for a minute, Morgan unknowingly slips into Selene's study.
Chapter Twenty: Knowledge
(Diary Entry: M. R.). Morgan is in awe with Selene's library. But one particular book catches her eye: Maeve Riordan's Book of Shadows. Morgan wonders what Selene is doing with her mother's BOS. Before she has time to react, Selene and Cal catch her in the library.
