Chapter One: Secrets
(Diary Entry: Bradhadair). Morgan is caught in Selene Belltower's secret room. But she doesn't care because she has Maeve Roirdan's Book of Shadows! Morgan asks why Selene has her mother's BOS, and Selene replies that she collects Book of Shadows. Morgan says she will take her mother's BOS home since it is her biological mother's BOS.
Chapter Two: Picketts Road
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Saturday. Morgan gets a phone call from Cal Blaire inviting her to go to Practical Magick that afternoon. That morning Morgan and Mary K. go grocery shopping. As they drive along Picketts Road, Morgan notices Raven Meltzer and Matt Alder's car parked by the side of the road. She finds this very odd.
Chapter Three: Woodbane
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan and Cal drive to Practical Magick. Morgan tells Cal about Bree Warren's meeting with Raven and Sky Eventide. When the conversation switches to Hunter Niall and Sky, Cal erruptly closes it.
The couple arrive at Practical Magick and shop around. While Cal and Morgan are leaving, Alyce gives Morgan a book titled Woodbane, Fact or Fiction. Morgan doesn't understand why she is given the book but accepts it. When Morgan goes outside, she sees Hunter by Cal's car.
Chapter Four: Spell
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Cal demands to know what Hunter is doing with his car. Hunter taunts Morgan, and soon Cal and Hunter begin to argue. Morgan tells Hunter to leave her and Cal alone. When Morgan brushes past Hunter, she gets a shock of power. Scared, she urges Cal for them to just leave.
Chapter Five: Dagda
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan gets dress for the Circle that night. She talks briefly with her mother about Bree. At the Circle, Cal speaks to Morgan privately and shows her evidence that Hunter is using "dirty tricks" to spy on them. Cal tells her not to worry.
The circle stars. Morgan notices Cal doing a more complicated circle than usual. During the drawing of the circle, Matt walks in and joins. The circle continues and Morgan, once again, loses control. Cal helps her ground herself. The circle ends and people pack to go home. Suddenly, Morgan sees a grey kitten. Jenna tells her the kitten is among many she's getting rid of. Morgan takes the grey cat and names is Dagda, after her biological mother's kitten.
Chapter Six: Communion
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Mary K. finds Dagda in Morgan's bed. Morgan asks her parents if she can keep it. The family agrees. The family goes to church. When Morgan goes up for communion, Father Hotchkiss stumbles and drops the wine. Morgan wonders if it is her fault.
Chapter Seven: Symbols
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Monday. Morgan goes to class and finds Bree there ignoring her. Morgan wonders what is Bree doing with Sky. Morgan has lunch with circle Cirrus, and she asks Robbie about Bree. Robbie doesn't know, but Matt Alder says that Bree and Raven's circle went well. Jenna is shocked and asks him how he knows. Matt replies Raven talked about it in class. After school some of the Circle members discuss Matt's odd behavior lately.
Chapter Eight: Muìrn Beatha Dàn
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan rushes home to find her sister and Bakker there. Morgan tells Mary K. to stay downstairs with her.
Cal and Morgan talk. Cal believes they are muìrn beatha dàn.
Chapter Nine: Trust
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Morgan's birthday is Sunday, and the Circle wants to do something special. Matt says he can't make it and everybody is suspicious. Robbie says he is going to one of Bree's Circles to see what is up with her. Cal objects but Robbie stands his ground. Since two people will be missing from the Circle, Cal just cancels the circle meeting. Cal assures Morgan he has something special for her birthday.
Morgan stumbles on Raven and Bree in deep conversation about her. Bree steals some of Morgan's hair from a comb, and Morgan silently wonders if they are plotting magick against her.
Chapter Ten: Magesight
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Morgan wants to tell Cal what she saw, but he's is nowhere to be found. She meets up with Robbie and they talk. Robbie confesses his love for Bree and says he wants to check out Bree and Raven's new coven.
They go to Butler's Ferry park to find Raven and Matt making out.
Chapter Eleven: The Council
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan tells Cal about Bree and Raven. He's not too happy.
Morgan confronts Matt about what she saw. He says he doesn't know what to do with Raven.
Hunter meets up with Morgan and tries to warn her. She doesn't believe him. Hunter tells her that Maeve was a Woodbane and he is Cal's half brother.
Chapter Twelve: The Future
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Morgan is shocked over what Hunter said. Morgan goes to Cal's house to see Sky there. When Sky leaves, Morgan asks Cal what she was doing there. Cal replies she was there to warn Cal. He says for her not to worry about Hunter. He claims Hunter is a second rate witch. Morgan believes him but says her mother was a Woodbane. They talks some more, and Cal explains how he and Hunter met. Cal then says he wants to make a future with Morgan. She is touched.
Chapter Thirteen: Dark Side
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Morgan feels a new closeness to Cal. After school she goes to Practical Magick and sees David there. David tells her about The International Council of Witches and the job of a Seeker. Morgan asks him if there is a dark side to Wicca. He says yes, but when tries to explain it to Morgan, she is confused.
Chapter Fourteen: Scry
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan rides home alone. She notices a car behind her. The car almost causes her to have a fatal accident. Moments later, Bree rides up to help Morgan, but Morgan is suspicious and says she is okay.
Morgan goes home and scrys with fire. She sees many images but notices that Maeve is directing her to something, some place.
Chapter Fifteen: Presence
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan answers the phone and somebody hangs up on her. She starts to panic and tries to send a witch message to Cal. It doesn't get through (or he isn't answering). Morgan notices that Hunter and Sky are outside doing something. She gets scared.
The next day Morgan decides to follow up the lead from her scrying. She asks Robbie to go with her to Meshomah Falls, the place where her biological parents lived. Robbie agrees.
Chapter Sixteen: Hidden
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan confesses to Robbie that she is a blood witch and adopted.
Morgan finds her mother's tools at the old house her biological parents used to live. Somebody sees her snooping around the property, and Morgan uses a concealing spell to make herself "hidden" to this person. Robbie witnesses all this.
Chapter Seventeen: Treasure
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Robbie takes Morgan to his house. They look at the contents of the box and marvel at the witch tools.
Chapter Eighteen: Sigils
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan goes home and hides her mother's tools. She goes outside to use her athame to look for sigils. The athame reveals sigils all over her house. Later, Cal picks up Morgan and they talk. When Morgan confesses she found her mother's tools, Cal is ecstatic. Morgan says she tried to send Cal a witch message but didn't get through. Cal explains they he and his mother were doing warding spell, so that might have blocked the communication.
They arrive at Cal's house and spend time together. Cal gives Morgan her gifts. He then tells Morgan he wants to make love to her.
Chapter Nineteen: Circle of Two
(Diary Entry: Sgàth). Morgan feels like a failure. Her body says yes, but her heart says no. She tells Cal and he understands. He suggests that they make a circle of two. Morgan agrees.
Afterwards, Morgan notices the time and says she has to get home. When they go outside, they notice a car. Suddenly, Hunter comes into the picture. Both Cal and Hunter start to argue. Hunter accuses Cal of using Morgan; Cal denies it, of course. When Cal mentions Hunter's late brother, Linden, Hunter gets angry. Cal provokes Hunter to come and fight him into the woods. Morgan soon follows them.
Chapter Twenty: The Seeker
(Diary Entry: Gìomanach). Morgan follows them in the woods. She sees Cal and Hunter fighting. Morgan is confused and a little frantic. She then hears Cal's voice in her head, coaxing her to help him. Soon Hunter has the upper hand in the fight, and when he is fixing to but the braighs on Cal, Morgan strikes him with her athame (one of Cal's birthday gifts). Hunter is shocked and lets go of Cal. Cal then pushed him over the cliff into the Hudson river. When Morgan helps Cal up, he thanks her for saving him. She is simply stunned.
