Widow's Vale, New York, US
Most of the Sweep books (except books 7, 10, 11, and Super Edition) take place in Widow's Vale. It's a small, sleepy New York town where Morgan Rowlands lives with her family and friends. Cal Blaire and Selene Belltower take residence in this town. Widow's Vale is also the same place where they died.
Red Kill, New York, US
This is the town where the new age store Practical Magick is located. It was once owned by David Redburn, a blood witch, but the ownership was handed to Alyce Fernbrake. Practical Magick is where Morgan buys a lot of books and tools for her Wiccan practice. More importantly, the store is a sanctuary for Morgan.
New York, New York, US
Morgan, Hunter, Sky, Raven, Bree, and Robbie go to New York city in book seven. Hunter, Morgan, and Sky secretly head to New York to investigate the Amyranth sect. Morgan meets her half brother, Killian, and her father, Ciaran MacEwan.
New York city is also the place Maeve Roirdan briefly stays with her lover, Angus Bramson after the Dark Wave destroys their hometown in Ireland.
Ballynigel, Ireland
Maeve Roirdan was born and raised in this small town along with her family and the Belwicket coven. Years later the Dark Wave ravages the town, destroying everybody except Maeve and her lover, Agnus Bransom. Ciaran was also born here, but was raised in Scotland.
Meshmoah Falls, New York, US
This is the small town where Maeve and Angus moved to from New York city. The both got jobs and lived a lonely, sad life here. Ciaran and Maeve reunite briefly, but Maeve breakes up their affair. Ciaran soon comes back and kills Maeve and Angus in the nearby barn by fire and magick.
Scotland, UK
Scotland is where Ciaran grew up. He married Scottish witch Grania MacMuredach and had three children with her--Kyle, Iona, and Killian. The first coven he lead, Liatach, is from Scotland.
Book 11 is set in Scotland, the year 1680. Rose MacEwan, Morgan's ancestor and creator of the Dark Wave, narrates her life as a witch here.
Quebec, Canada
Hunter finds out his parents are living in Quebec, Canada, thanks to Sky Eventide's lead. In book 10, Hunter discovers his father at the brink of death, ready to give up on life because his wife, Fiona, has died months before. Secretly, Daniel is opening up a portal to the Shadow World, trying to locate his late wife.
Ontario, Canada
This is where Justine Courceau, a Rowanwand witch, lives alone in a small house. She secretly collects true names of humans and witches--which is considered dangerous. The Council sends Hunter here to investigate and report Justine.
Gloucester, Massachusetts, US
Where Sarah Curtis, Alisa Soto's mother, is born and raised. Years later, Alisa Soto runs way from home to come visit her mother's family.
England, UK
Hunter Niall is born and raised here with his mother, father, sister, and brother. When his parents disappear, he moves in with his Uncle Beck (his mother's brother) and Aunt Shelagh in Somerset.
Wales, UK
In one of the local cafés, Hunter asks Morgan to marry him. The next day, Hunter "dies" in a ferry boat accident due to a fierce storm.
Cobh, Ireland
This is the location of the new Belwicket coven. This is also the the place Morgan and her daughter, Moira, call home. Morgan moved here shortly after her high school graduation to help revive her mother's old coven. She has lived in Ireland ever since.
