Robbie Gurevitch
Age: Birth Place:
17Widow's Vale, New York
Mate: First Appearance:
Bree WarrenBooks of Shadows

Robbie is best friends with Morgan Rowlands and Bree Warren. He harbored at secret crush on Bree for a long time but kept it inside because of his looks (thick glasses and terrible acne).

Things change when Morgan gives him a potion she experimented with. It clears up his face and gives him near perfect vision. Without the acne and the glasses, Robbie is gorgeous, and everybody seems to notice--especially Bree. Eventually, Robbie and Bree get together, but their relationship is rocky from the start. Robbie wants to take things further but Bree keeps holding back. They eventually break up but then quickly get back together.

Robbie practices Wicca with his friends, but there is a slight division between himself and Morgan. Morgan's powers have been proven to be outstanding, and Robbie is sometimes not comfortable with this. In The Calling he outwardly shows displeasure in Morgan's magic, saying she is using it to manipulate people. Robbie and Morgan do make amends, but Robbie habours some distrust towards Morgan for awhile. Eventually, Robbie begins to trust Morgan again.

Robbie is barely mentioned in Night's Child. Morgan states he and Bree broke up in college. He is presently a lawyer and married to--you guessed it--a lawyer.

Killian MacEwan
Age: Birth Place:
20Scotland
Mate: First Appearance:
NoneThe Calling

Killian is Morgan's half brother and the son of Ciaran MacEwan. Killian is introduced in The Calling as the good-looking young man who loves to have a good time. Raven Meltzer is intensely attracted to him, which does not make Sky Eventide, Raven's lover, very happy.

Killian is a person who parties at heart. His agenda leans towards having a good time than taking life seriously. He loves to drink, to go to clubs, to practice forbidden magick, and to flirt with girls. He is not much of a person who takes commitment well and strays from one thing to the next. In The Calling Morgan and Hunter Niall believe Amyranth is after him, but their theory soon proves false. He returns in Changeling doing more harm than good. He even causes Raven and Sky to break up. When Raven tries to pursue a relationship with Killian, he betrays her by having a night of fun with Sky. At the end of Changeling, Killian leaves without notice.

Killian appears briefly in Eclipse. Morgan sends a witch message to him to come get Ciaran. He comes intoxicated but soon sobers up when he finds out what happen to his dad. Killian is in disbelief when Morgan tells him that Ciaran has been stripped of his powers. He takes his father to a safe place quietly.

Killian makes a small appearance in Full Circle, at the end of the story, celebrating Beltane with circle Kithic.

Killian is all grown up in Night's Child. He married young and fathered about three children.

To make things worse, Rosaline was heavily in debt to a real estate businessman named Stuart Afton. Afton wants to seize the store and sell the land to the highest bidder. Not only will Practical Magick be shut down, but the tenets that live above the store will be without a home.

Their relationship starts to crumble when Raven meets Killian in The Calling. When Killian returns in Changeling, Raven quickly works on him. This infuriates Sky, and eventually Sky and Raven break up.

Pawel Byrne (deceased)Night's Child

Katrina Byrne is a heavy-set, kind woman who is Morgan's mother-in-law and Moira's grandmother. But at the beginning of Night's Child, Colm dies in a car accident 6 months before.

Unknown to Morgan and Moira, Katrina has a serious secret that eventually catches up to her years later. Secretly, Katrina knows that Moira is not her son's daughter. At the time of Morgan's illness years ago, Morgan was too sick to realize she was pregnant. Katrina, along with others, used magick to help heal her. Katrina absorbed some the illness into herself in order to save Morgan (one of the main reasons why she has arthritis today). She never told Morgan of Moira's true parentage. It is only when Moria asks probing questions about her birth rite that Katrina finally reveals the truth. At first, both Morgan and Moira are furious at her for keeping such a secret, but they eventually forgive her.
