Briefly

Moira Byrne is the daughter of Morgan Rowlands and Hunter Niall. She is described as the daughter of prodigy, a girl who was destined to be born.

Moira is 15 and lives in Cobh, Ireland. She has a bucolic life in Ireland with her family and friends. She is described as tall, even taller than Morgan. She is a natural pretty girl with hazel-green eyes and strawberry blonde hair.

Present Time

Set about 20 years after Full Circle, Moira Bryne lives an innocent life in a small town in Ireland. In Chapter 1 we find out that her "Father", Colm Byrne, died 6 months before in a car accident. Presently, she lives alone with her mother, Morgan, but her grandmother, Katrina Byrne, visits often.

Moria is a typical 15 year old, except for one thing: she is Morgan Rowlands' daughter. But even when many people mention Morgan as being powerful, Moira truly does not see her mother's full potential. True, she knows her mother is an excellent healer and the re-creator of the Belwicket coven, but she never witnesses the true power of Morgan's magick.

In the beginning of the Night's Child, Moria falls in love with with Ian Delaney, a handsome new teenager who has moved to her area. Unfortunately, Ian's mother, Lilith Delaney, has a questionable history and is Morgan's rival. But Moira's heart connects with Ian, and she is soon falls in love with, despite her mother's protests.

As the novel progresses, Moira is hit with many revelations about her mother's past. But the biggest revelation is about Moira's parentage. Katrina finally reveals that Colm is not Moira's father; Hunter is.

Towards the end of the novel, Moira, Morgan, and Sky set out to find Hunter (who is alive somewhere). Morgan interrogates Lilith, and Moira finally witnesses Morgan's true power and wrath. Moira starts to distrust Ian, especially when she finds out that Lilith has been plotting against her mother all this time.

Lilith admits that Iona MacEwan, Ciaran's other daughter, has the answers. Sky, Moira, and Morgan go on a quest to find Iona and bring Hunter home. As they head to face Iona, Morgan gives her a choice to continue or stay behind. Moira decides to stay at her mother and Aunt's side to fight.

Moira observes her mother do battle with Iona. At one point, Moira, along with Sky, help counteract a binding spell Iona uses against Morgan. During this time, Moira realizes that the whispers about her mother are true. Morgan is indeed one of the strongest, if not the strongest, witch in this present time. She will never doubt those stories again.

When Iona reveals Hunter's secret location (on an island), the trio head north to get Hunter. Sky rents a boat so they can reach the island. Morgan is determined to have Moira stay behind, for fear she will loose Moira. Moira insists that she must go with them, but Morgan is adamant. As Morgan and Sky take off in the rented boat, Moira jumps from the pier into the water. She swims to the boat and gets on.
